The basics

Keep it clean. Keep it moisturised. Keep it out of the sun.

That's the whole job. The protocol below is what I recommend to every client — but listen to your skin first. If anything looks or feels wrong, message me.

Ask a Question

The first 24 hours

Leave the wrap on for 2–4 hours after your session. When you remove it, wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel — never a cloth one. Don't re-wrap unless I've told you to.

Days 2–5

Wash twice daily. Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturiser (Bepanthen, Hustle Butter, or similar) 2–3 times per day. The tattoo will feel tight and look shiny. That's normal.

Days 6–14

Peeling and itching kicks in. Do not pick. Do not scratch. Keep moisturising. Skin will look cloudy or dull as it heals underneath — colour comes back at the end.

Weeks 3–6

Top layer is healed but the deeper layers are still settling. Avoid long sun exposure, pools, hot tubs and the gym for the first two weeks. After that, ease back in.

Forever

SPF 30+ on the tattoo any time it's in the sun. UV is the #1 reason tattoos fade. Moisturise often. Drink water. The piece will age with you.
