How it works
Two ways to get the work done.
Most clients come to Malta. The studio is set up for long days and multi-session builds, the island is easy to reach from most of Europe, and a week here usually moves a large piece further than a year of short local appointments would.
But a sleeve, a backpiece or a full leg is a serious commitment of time on both sides, and for some projects it makes more sense for me to come to you. If the work is large enough and the fit is right, that is a conversation I'm happy to have.
Either way, nothing is confirmed until we have agreed the design direction, the session structure and what it will cost — travel included.
Selective by necessity
What makes a project worth the journey
Travel takes days out of the calendar, so it only works for pieces that justify it. In practice that means:
Scale
Sleeves, backpieces, full legs, bodysuits. Work measured in sittings rather than hours.
Commitment
A build you intend to finish. Multi-session projects planned and drawn as one piece from the start.
Fit
Custom geometric and ornamental work — the thing I do exclusively. Not a walk-in piece, and not a style I'd be guessing at.
Time
Enough runway to plan properly. Large-scale work designed around a body is not something to rush into a spare weekend.

Straight answers
What travelling costs.
Large-scale work is quoted according to the project rather than a simple per-hour calculation. Where I travel to you, the travel and accommodation sit on top of that, and I'll tell you what they come to before you commit to anything.
A 30% deposit confirms a booking. It's non-refundable, but it can be transferred once with at least 14 days' notice.
If a trip doesn't make financial sense for the piece you have in mind, I'll say so — it's usually cheaper and better for you to come to Malta, and I'd rather tell you that than take the booking.
